If you have been involved in an accident and need emergency medical assistance, call 911 immediately.

1. Stop and Help

If an accident has just occurred, stop and examine the situation. Make sure your surroundings are safe and seek medical attention for anyone who may be injured. If emergency assistance is needed, call 911.

Once everyone is safe, take photos of the accident scene (if possible) and make a note of the following information.

  • Date and time of injury
  • Visitor’s name
  • Description of accident and injuries.

2. Forward Documents

If you receive a letter, summons, or claim notice from a third-party alleging that you damaged or harmed them in any way, send the document(s) to Capitol Insurance immediately.

3. Make an Appearance

If the document is a summons from the court, you have a limited number of days to make a court appearance. Sending the documents to Capitol Insurance quickly will ensure that your insurance company will appear in court on your behalf for covered loss.
